Process Collaborators

SH&S coordinates with the certain on-campus departmental partners to facilitate tasks described as follows:

Planning, Design & Construction (PDC)

• Coordinates the reconfigurations of all on-campus office workstations.
• Evaluates work space and discusses with client's supervisory personnel to determine the scope of work and projected/estimated cost.
• May hand-off certain minor/non-complex workstation configurations to FS.
• Typical work projects are finalized within 8-12 weeks.
• Workstations requiring reconfiguration must adhere PDC move request guidelines.

Facility Services (FS):

• Works primarily on minor workstation adjustments (as directed by PDC) or accessory additions.
• Evaluates work space and discusses with client's supervisory personnel to determine the scope of
  work (i.e.; which equipment items will be installed), and provides a projected/estimated cost.
• Typical projects are finalized within 1-4 weeks.
• Simple/minor installations may only require the completion of a work order request.

Instructional & Information Technology Services (IITS)

• performs cable mitigation to safely secure and route wiring.
• Works with both PD&C and FS to coordinate the set-up of computer equipment, telephones and
  other software during reconfigurations or minor adjustments (if necessary).
• Employees may contact IITS for information regarding the purchase/acquisition of CSUSM authorized computer-related equipment and software.
