Voices of CSUSM

Voices of CSUSM logo

At CSUSM, your voice matters! Surveys provide an opportunity to learn about perspectives, experiences, and opinions that we can't get from other institutional data. In a data-informed culture, these insights are used to make positive changes that benefit the campus community and improve institutional effectiveness. You will see the "Voices of CSUSM" logo on most surveys administered by IP&A.

Voices of CSUSM is a campaign to promote a data-informed culture within the CSUSM community. Creating a data culture means discussing data regularly and openly, developing a shared understanding about the value of data, and embracing opportunities to make changes. It involves buy-in from the campus community and commitment from leadership.

Why are surveys important?

Surveys are a form of data collection that provide an opportunity to:

  • Hear voices of different communities
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Gather data on CSUSM achievements or successes
